Why We Started Warhawk Mowers
Built on a Dream, Forged in Texas
There's a certain kind of stubbornness it takes to start a company from scratch. You need it in Paris, Texas as much as anywhere else in this country. That's where Abe Harms decided he was done watching other people build things his way, and started building them his own way instead.
Warhawk Mowers didn't start with a business plan pulled from a textbook. It started with a belief that's about as old as America itself: if you want something built right, you roll up your sleeves and build it yourself. Abe brought his sons, Ronnie and Randy, into the shop alongside him. Partners Jesko and Lionel Schmitt joined in, bringing their own grit and know-how to the table. None of them were chasing a trend. They were chasing a standard, one that the mower industry hadn't been meeting.
The Problem We Set Out to Fix
Anyone who's run a zero turn mower for a living knows the frustration. Machines that quit when you need them most. Maintenance schedules that eat up more time than the actual work. Warranties with more fine print than backbone. We'd seen it, dealt with it, and gotten tired of it. So we set out to build something different: a mower that could take a beating on a hundred-degree day, keep running, and keep a crew on schedule.
That's the whole mission, plain and simple. Warhawk Mowers exists to build rugged zero turn machines designed for the people who actually use them, and built to hold up against whatever ground they're put on.
What Makes Us Different
We didn't want to just add another logo to a crowded lineup of mower brands. We wanted to stand for something specific, and we built our promise around three things:
Engineered for simplified upkeep and maintenance. A machine that's hard to service is a machine that costs you money sitting in a shop instead of earning it in a field.
Designed with class-leading durability. We build decks, frames, and drivetrains meant to outlast the job, not just finish it.
Backed by unmatched service and support. A warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it. Ours is called "We've Got Your Six," six years and up to 1,600 hours of coverage, because we believe a company should have your back the way you'd have a buddy's.
That last part matters to us for a reason that goes beyond good branding. We're not a veteran owned company, and we won't pretend to be something we're not. But we know full well that the freedom we have to build a business, chase a dream, and put our name on a machine wouldn't exist without the sacrifices of American soldiers. That's why we honor them through our military discount program, and why we've partnered with K9s For Warriors, donating a share of every single sale to help provide trained service dogs to veterans dealing with the invisible wounds of war.
First Generation, First Class
Every one of us behind Warhawk came up believing that hard work and family were enough to build something extraordinary, if you were willing to put in the hours. That's the spirit we build into every machine that rolls off the line. We're not interested in cutting corners to hit a price point. We're interested in building mowers the way our fathers taught us to build anything worth building: right, sturdy, and made to last.
Surrender No Ground
That's more than a tagline hanging on our wall. It's how we approach every deck we weld and every warranty claim we honor. Whether you're running a Sentry on a weekend property or putting a Commander Pro through its paces on a commercial route, we want you to feel like the machine underneath you was built by people who understood exactly what you needed, because we've stood where you're standing.
Warhawk Mowers was born from a dream and a work ethic that's as American as the land we cut. We're proud to build machines here in Texas, for the people who get up early, work hard, and expect the same out of their equipment. That's the reason we started this company, and it's the reason we're not slowing down.
